How To Get Started, III

  3. Collect all the information needed for your plan
  4. Review and Finalize your estate plan
  5. Make no payment until your estate plan is complete!

All Estate Planning packages include:

  • Free initial consultation
  • Last Will and Testament or Pour Over Will
  • Trust Synopsis (in plain English not legalese), if applicable
  • Separate Schedule “A” – Initial Trust Assets, if applicable
  • Pour Over Will(s)
  • Trust Certification
  • Durable Power of Attorney
  • Advance Health Care Directive
  • Assignment of Tangible Personal Property
  • Nomination of Guardian for Minors (if any)
  • All Documents Necessary for Implementation, including Letters to Banks, Brokerages, etc.
  • Up to one hour attorney time for consultation for up to one year after Completion of trust.

Most clients choose to have complete estate plan packages done because the documents end up being less expensive and the notary fees are included. However, occasionally situations will arise where a client simply wants an individual document. In those cases, the fees are as follows:

Stand Alone Will (individual) $99
Stand Alone Will (couples) $159
Durable Power of Attorney for Business Affairs $150
Advance Health Care Directive $150
Nomination of Guardian for Minor Children $150
Additional Services Fee
Special needs trust provisions. Usually needed if an heir is handicapped or disabled and receiving government benefits. Protects the heir from losing his or her benefits and stops the government from taking the inheritance.. $150
Non U.S. Citizens. Unique tax considerations come into play with non U.S. citizens. Special Trust provisions are required. $150
Assignment of business interests. Necessary when a client owns a corporation, limited liability company, partnership, or other business entity. $150
Drafting and recording of deeds: includes the drafting and recording of the deed, the drafting and filing of the required Preliminary Change Ownership Report, the Notary fees, and the County recording fees. $150
Hourly Rate. Our office strives to set flat rates on legal services so that clients will always know exactly what to expect regarding fees. In those unusual situations where a client requests work for which no flat rate has been established and cannot be estimated, our hourly rate will apply. $30
